Taking A Break . . .

Great Blue Heron at Innisfree Garden

Starting tomorrow, I'll be offline for a couple weeks or so.  I've enabled comment moderation, but I'll make sure any comments Prufrock's might be lucky enough to receive are posted once I'm back online.

I look forward to catching up with one and all when I'm online again.

Meanwhile, at our house:  Bluebirds and Two Bonuses (not great photographs, but evidence!):

And lucky you, 'a highly cherished', 'eagerly anticipated' comment from shy and oh so humble me.
May your offline time be filled with wondrous adventures of joy and fulfilment. Indeed, may the "Bluebird of happiness" be there with you.
Until we meet again, I bid thee a fond farewell.
In kindness, Gary, eh :)

The plumage on those birds is just beautiful.

Be safe, Sue. Come back to us with photographs and lively tales.

Hi Susan,
Great photos and I have now seen proof! ;)
Have a great trip, I am assuming on this side of the pond, after your comments on my blog, Norfolk, isn`t it? You never know, we may bump into eachother!?
I look forward to the photos on your return.

Susan- I like the progression of the heron. I fished with this guy who looked just like that. Tall and angular. Quiet. Intense. A hunter of sorts. You have been so supportive. I will miss you in a selfish way. I always count on you to know that thinking things through is okay. You have been great . But unplugging is invigorating and rejuvenating. I am at a place where I can listen freely and are ready to delve into the Mattingly post. Have fun. I am reaching, touching your fingertips somewhere.

Lovely sight, drying its feathers or looking for a bit of sun for warmth?

In this pose, it looks so much like the Indian Cormorant, wings spread.

Have a nice time.

Dear Sue,
I wish you a beautiful time, a lot of wonderful sights and insights, meeting nice friends and making new ones, enjoying the moments and a lot of good motives for your camera. Take care, come back well! Britta

Those bluebirds are the most beautiful color of blue, and your owl... well, he must bring good luck to your home.

I've been offline a lot myself and find I don't really miss it all that much except for a few special people such as yourself. Have fun in the real world.

Happy heron, happy holiday, happy happenings.

(I thought about you a few days ago when Eve and I walked the High line from around 32nd St. down to about 12th St. I noticed that the gardeners had planted a hibiscus native to Texas.)
