Traveling Music

(No, not a misprint:  the musical form is a palindrome, and the title is a palindrome, as well.)

So, off I go to the Vale of Glamorgan Festival of Music.  I'll look forward to catching up with you on my return from Wales.

Hi Susan,
Well being, 'never odd or even' and to the dreamy piano tune, I warmly welcome you to my time zone :)

Sue, have a beautiful visit -- as I know you will! You will be sorely missed but we know that you are out gathering dazzling fragments into your heart. Nothing could be sweeter.

Safe journeys, dear friend -- and may you have the time of your life!

Hoping you have a marvelous time in Wales Susan. I hear it is quite beautiful over there.

Dear Sue,
have such a joyful flight as to be seen in the video - to Wales and back, and enjoy the festival!
I pondered on the Palindromes (the longest in German shall be "Reliefpfeiler", says Wiki - but I couldn't find them here (the photo neither). When you are back tell me what I overlooked.

So god to have a resolutely tonal musical palindrome. No doubt the minimalists have done it, but the ones which spring to mind are Berg's ( which I do like). No need to repeat the Welsh for bon voyage, but have a great time!

Susan- Thanks for the heads up on the slide show. I would have been bummed if I had missed it.

Bulbs in mass. It's the best. The display of the multi colored tulips , whimsically fantastic. Same for the sculpture and fountain. Formal but inviting in a nice, refreshing way.

Wisteria is certainly royalty among vines and the supporting structure shown, perfect. The blue Lilac is exquisite!

So glad you took the time to gather these blossoms and share a dream. Beautiful, vivid photos. Color, life, warmth.

Apologies for not responding individually--I am still abroad, though about to head home. Thank you all for your well wishes--and I'm QUITE relieved the slideshow of the Central Park Conservatory Garden did ultimately show up for you! Your well wishes must have been much with me while over here. This trip has exceeded my already high expectations musically, and the sun has come out as well! For those who are interested in such things, I will be reporting on the trip, though that may take a while, as there is much to think about and sort through. (In the meantime, I'll be putting up a post about another topic entirely.)
